From next term we will be changing our processes regarding consent and payment for camps, excursions and activities.

We ask for your patience as we navigate these new processes!

RU Ok?
Our amazing Prep Teachers and Teacher Aides put on an amazing morning tea to raise awareness for RU Ok? ANY Day.
R U OK? is a national suicide prevention charity and registered public health promotion that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times.
R U OK? contributes to suicide prevention efforts by encouraging people to invest more time in their personal relationships and building the capacity of informal support networks – friends, family and colleagues - to be alert to those around them, have a conversation if they identify signs of distress or difficulty and connect someone to appropriate support, long before they're in crisis.
Thank you for a great job!
Have a wonderful break - we will see you in Term 4!!!
THANK YOU!!!

Term 4 fundraising events coming up are:
Gold4Good. We are thrilled to be having a Hilliard State School Gold4good Fundraiser, and a donation pack will be coming home in early Term 4. With many families connecting with friends and family members during the school holidays you don’t need to wait for the pack to start collecting any unwanted or broken gold or silver jewellery bits no longer in use. From odd single earrings, rings with missing stones, broken chains, clasps or bits and pieces, all donations will help. You can place any items kindly donated and gathered inside a zip lock bag, then keep it aside until you receive the school fundraiser donation envelopes in Week 3 of Term 4.
Feel good this Spring with this cleaning activity which only takes a few minutes and is also helping the carbon footprint. All donations will count and by donating your old or broken jewellery bits you are building a bright future for the next generation and will bring joy to children at school that will help with new playground upgrades and resources.
State Election. Are you a whizz on the BBQ or in the Kitchen, have a green thumb, excellent customer service skills or just want to help where you can. The Hilliard State School P&C are holding a BBQ, Plant and Bake Sale at the upcoming State Election. Saturday 26th October 2024. Everyone Welcome! Not free on the day but would still like to help? We are also looking for donations of BBQ supplies, plants and sweet treats - to keep costs down and increase profits! To register your interests please go to https://volunteersignup.org/events/election bbq
Movie Night. Our Movie Night is promising to be bigger and better this year with 8 food trucks, a P&C BBQ, entertainment from our own students, a fabulous magician, Santa and his elves, a designated arts and craft area, games, face painting and hair braiding, a petting zoo, a special raffle with some amazing prizes and our Lob-a-Choc game will be back due to popular demand!! To make this event a success we would really appreciate all the help we can get from our school community. A register will be set up shortly for you to be able to register your interests so keep any eye out for this.
Christmas Stall. This year we are going to try something different – the students are going to run this stall. Unfortunately, we had no parent volunteers put their hand up and we were at the point of cancelling the stall. However, thanks to Mrs Witham, Ms Brown and Ms Labbe the stall will go ahead. As part of the special interest group program, a group of students will get together next term and help plan, source stock items, make items, advertise the stall and organise a roster for the two days the stall is on. This is a great opportunity for the students to be involved in fundraising for their school.
If you have any questions about the upcoming events or anything P&C related, please do not hesitate to email me at hilliardpandcpresident@gmail.com. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday, and I look forward to an exciting Term 4.
Thanks so much
