Ash, Luttsy & Susie O’Neill’s Handball Blitz Returns In 2024
Calling all primary school handball pros!
It was the schoolyard craze that took Brisbane by storm in 2022 and 2023, and now the hunt for Ash, Luttsy & Susie O’Neill’s Handball Blitz champion begins again, all thanks to our sponsors Lilly’s Little Lunchbox.
Last year’s Handball Blitz champion, Jett, became the envy of primary school kids everywhere when he raised the mammoth trophy high above his head (with a little assistance) to a packed crowd at Suncorp Stadium - now it's your turn to aim for the title.
In 2024 the competition will be fierce, so start practicing your trick shots and technique to bounce your way to the grand final. Download our official Handball Blitz Rules and take your training to the next level.

Welcome back! We hope you and your students had a wonderful break over the holidays!
This week our wonderful office administration team hosted a Free Dress Day for National Pyjama Day. Students and staff were invited to wear their pyjamas and bring a gold coin donation to go to the Pyjama Foundation. The Pyjama Foundation raise funds and awareness for children in foster care. We are absolutely delighted to share that we achieved our goal and raised $500!!! Thank you to all who participated!

I hope everyone had a safe and fun two weeks holidays. For the first time in Hilliard history, we held the general committee meeting wholly online last Monday. It was way too cold to go out so we decided we would all stay home and jump online with the added bonus of being able to be in our PJs with our slippers on 😊 We hope to see some more parents join us in the future.
Who is excited for the Disco which is happening next week?! It is not too late if you haven’t purchased your tickets as ticket sales will close on Sunday night. I am sure the kids will have an absolute blast with DJ Dr Rock spinning the tunes and everyone dressed up in their Fluro gear. We are still looking for helpers on the night so if you have some spare time, please register on https://volunteersignup.org/8BJWL.
Father’s Day is not too far away, and we are once again looking for donations of baked goods and stock to sell at our annual Father's Day stall. The stall will be held on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th August (Friday 30th is a pupil free day).
Plans for our Movie Night in November are in full swing, and we are hoping that this year’s event will be bigger and better. More information will be available soon, however, if anyone has any portable flood lights or light towers that we could borrow for the event, could you please email me. We are also looking for:

Uniform Shop
OPENING HOURS - THURSDAY 8:00 - 9:30AM
The Uniform Shop is available for ordering through QKR! Just log on and select Uniform Shop. Whilst you can place your Uniform Orders any time of day, any day of the week, currently deliveries to students classrooms will only take place each Thursday.
If an item is showing as “Unavailable” this means it is currently OUT OF STOCK.
We are expecting deliveries of uniforms in the next few weeks. Stock will be added to QKR once they arrive and are available to purchase.
SECOND HAND UNIFORMS
Search and join the FACEBOOK group: “Hilliard SS 2nd Hand Uniform Sale” where you will be able to interact with parents of all grades selling and looking for second hand uniforms.
Please note that whilst we do our best to have all stock on hand at all times, sometimes due to circumstances beyond our control, some items/sizes may be unavailable. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
