Yura Hilliard SS, what an amzing first term we have had! It was lovely to finish up a busy term with our Prep to Year 2 Easter hat parade. There were so many beautifully decorated hats and headpieces on show, some very clever and inventive ones too. Plus the Easter Bunny came and paid us a visit! It was very exciting to witness.
We have a lot of things coming up in term 2, so take the chance to rest and relax over the next two weeks.
Have a safe and happy Easter, we can't wait to welcome you back in term 2!

School Student Broadband Initiative (SSBI)
To be eligible, a family must:
- Have a child living at home that is enrolled in an Australian school.
- Have no active broadband service over the NBN network.
- Live in a premise where they can access a standard NBN service.
- Not have had an active NBN service during the previous 14 days.
Families can directly contact the National Referral Centre to have their eligibility assessed or be referred by a participating nominating organisation.
Free broadband will last until Dec 2025.
Expectation of the Week
The expectation of the week for weeks 1 & 2 is Learn, Lead, Succeed!

Wow, we are at the end of Term 1, it has been a busy and productive term! Term 2 is going to be jam-packed with activities and excursions, here is a brief snapshot of week 1!
School resumes on Monday 15th April, the next P&C meeting is on Monday 15th at 6.30pm in the staff room, all are welcome to attend! Wednesday 17th April is the Year 3-6 Cross Country / Fun Run, Thursday 18th April is the Prep to Year 2 Fun Run; also payments are due for the Year 2 Old Beenleigh Town excursion and for the Year 6 Excursion to Parliament House!
We would like you wish you all a very safe and happy Easter break, we will see you in term 2!

Uniform Shop
OPENING HOURS - THURSDAY 8:00 - 9:30AM
Dance stockings have been delivered and updated on QKR ready to purchase.
The Uniform Shop is available for ordering through QKR! Just log on and select Uniform Shop. Whilst you can place your Uniform Orders any time of day, any day of the week, currently deliveries to students classrooms will only take place each Thursday.
If an item is showing as “Unavailable” this means it is currently OUT OF STOCK.
We are expecting deliveries of uniforms in the next few weeks. Stock will be added to QKR once they arrive and are available to purchase.
SECOND HAND UNIFORMS
Search and join the FACEBOOK group: “Hilliard SS 2nd Hand Uniform Sale” where you will be able to interact with parents of all grades selling and looking for second hand uniforms.
Please note that whilst we do our best to have all stock on hand at all times, sometimes due to circumstances beyond our control, some items/sizes may be unavailable. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Date Claimer!
School photos have been booked for Wednesday 22nd May! Put it in your calendar and diary! The team at Advanced Life Photography will be back out to take portraits, class groups and sibling photos. More information will be sent home closer to the date.
A limited number of envelopes are available at the office!!
