School Calendar
From the P&C
Wow, what an amazing afternoon/night it was on Saturday at our first Christmas Movie Night on the oval. Thank you so much to all the families who came to have some fun and support the school. The smiles on the kids faces said it all!
I would like to say a massive thank you to all of the volunteers who helped out either beforehand with organising the event or on the day. Thank you also to everyone who donated chocolates over the last month as the Lob-a-Choc game was a huge success!
These types of events cannot happen without the help of parents, teachers, staff, and community members. Volunteering is a great way to meet people and support the school. You do not need to be a member of the P&C to volunteer, and you don’t need to volunteer for every event throughout the year. Just an hour or even ½ hour is a massive help in organising fun events for the students to attend and benefit from.
Our final two fundraisers for 2023 are happening next week. We have our Christmas stall on Thursday, 30 November and Friday 1 December for the students to come along and purchase gifts for their families. We then have another Bunnings BBQ on Saturday 2 December 2023. If you could spare any time to help out at either of these events, we would be so grateful. Here are the links to our online registers -

For those of you who attended the Movie Night you will have seen the posters about the revamp of Junior Playground that we have been fundraising for this year. We still need to raise nearly $50,000 for this to be able to go ahead next year.
So, your support at these last two events is very important. If you have any other ideas or suggestions on how we can raise this amount I would love to hear from you. For example, do you know a company who would like to place their business sign on the school fence in exchange for a donation?
If we all work together, we can make Hilliard State School an even better place for our children to learn and have fun.
Thanks so much.
